We are raising money for this very special young man and his family to support them through a very rough time. Noah Cariolato, for those that do not know him well, is a 15 year old National level swimmer and an absolute champion of our club. Just two weeks after competing at State Open Championships in September, Noah was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma. This news has been devastating for his family and has rocked our club and Mountain Swim squads.
Noah is unfortunately facing a very long period of treatment which takes him away from the pool and doing what he loves, so in support of the whole family we will swim for him at our swimathon. We wouold love to see as many friendly faces at the swimathon to show support and make this a memorable and fun day during an otherwise challenging time.
Yesterday our extended swim family came together to support Noah and his family at Springwood pool. Visitors drove from as far as the Central Coast and Orange to be with us, so their swimmers could "Swim for Noah". Other clubs have hosted their own events to assist in our fundraising efforts, with some still yet to take place. Ex-Springwood swimmers and friends of Noah and his family came by to swim or say hello and show their support. We would like to offer our sincere thanks to EVERYONE who contributed...there are way too many of you to name individually, but whether you donated, collected sponsors and swam, provided prizes or food, helped with organising or organised your own event, shared our donation details, popped by to show your support in person or messaged us or Noahs family....together we have all shown what the term "swim family" really means. Thankyou, from the bottom of our hearts.
